~ There base was in the swamp because the British wouldn’t go near it because of the fear of Malaria. The Patriots were immune to Malaria.
~ Because he wasn’t following the rules of war. Also because if the British won they’d be living with the Patriots and if they were treated like mud by you you were gonna be treated like mud by them.

The patriot army of SC used the swamps as a hideout because they were immune to malaria whereas the British were not. Because of this, the British refused to enter the swamp.
He was frustrated with the tactics the colonel was using to win the war because the British would have to live by and with the patriots if they won. He didn’t want the patriots to treat the British poorly. An example of how the colonel was ignoring the rules in such a way as to make the patriots hate the british is when he shot the kid for trying to free his brother. This would make the patriots want to kill the british. The militia used the tactics of guerrilla warfare to successfully defeat the British.

The Patriots set up base camp in the swamp because of mosquitoes. The British, like people today, HATED mosquitoes. Not just because of the pestering buzz, or the irritating bites, but because they carried disease like malaria. The swamp area was a good place because the British, unlike the Patriots, were not immune to these diseases. (Mr. Perry, I have a question. Why weren’t they immune but the British were?)
Cornwalis was frustrated with Tavington because he was breaking the rules of war. The main rule that was broken was quartering of the wounded. Tavington was not quartering them at all! He was leaving the wounded Patriots for dead. Cornwalis was upset with this because that means that if the British did not quarter the wounded Patriots, they were under the influence that they didn’t have to quarter wounded Red Coats. Cornwalis was afraid that this was going to happen and then the British would lose the war.
Some tactics that the militia used were attacking in smaller groups, and ambushing. These tactics were performed by armed civilians and this is what we call guerrilla warfare.

January 8, 2013 at 4:42 pm
-The patriots set up camp in the swamps because the British where terrified of the malaria disease. the patriots where immune to the disease, though, because they ha been exposed to it longer and lived near places with it, eventually building a strong immunity to even use as a war tactic. having that fear factor was just as good, if not better, than having actual walls around your men.
-General Cornwallis was frustrated with colonel Tavington because he violated the rules to an extreme extent and and went completely out of line. he was mad because the rules of war had been established for hundreds of years in their culture and they promoted a sense of honesty and fairness in battle. Tavington killed wounded patriots, which in General Cornwallis’ mind meant that the patriots had a right to kill or mistreat the British wounded as well. it was a cycle acting unto others as you would like to be acted upon. Following the rules of war gave them a sense of dignity and honor. Also, if the British won, they would have to live among the patriots, and if they fought fairly it could have been a slightly better relationship.
-There where many tactics the patriots used in fighting and defeating the British. some of the most important where guerrilla warfare, hiding, shooting officers, breaking quite a few rules of war, which previously stated angers the British, and camping in sights that terrified the British such as the other previously mentioned topic of their fear of malaria and swamps.
Emma Greschak
January 8, 2013 at 4:47 pm
1.) The Patriots made their camps in swamps. This was because they knew the British troops wouldn’t go anywhere near them, for fear of malaria. The Patriots had built up a resistance over the generations to the deadly disease, and were practically immune. But the British, not so much. Even if they DID venture into a Patriot swamp base, and win the battle, at least half (or all) of their men would soon fall victim to malaria (or other diseases, even).
2.) General Cornwallis was frustrated with Colonel Tavington because firstly, he was breaking rules of war. Secondly, Gen. Cornwallis figured that the British were going to win the war, and that meant they would have to settle among the remaining Americans. If, before their victory, they had gone around burning Patriot homes and shooting innocent people, not much good would come back to them from living with the survivors. MAJOR karma alert! Gen. Cornwallis didn’t want this to happen, so he was warning Colonel Tavington to stay in line and treat the Patriots nicely.
3.) I’m not 100% on this, but I think it was Guerilla warfare. Judging by how it was depicted in the movie scene (he and his two young children killing an entire group of British by hiding in the shrubbery and being stealthy) it perfectly fit the definition (of Guerilla warfare)!

1). The patriots made their camps in the swamps of South Carolina was so that the british wouldn’t mess with them because the British were afraid of all the mosquitoes that carried the diesease malaria. The patriots were immune to malaria because they lived there for so long but if the British caught the diesease they would die in a couple weeks.
2). General Cornwallis was frustrated with Colonel Tavington beause his tactics because he was breaking the rules of wars. He was breaking the rules of wars by forcing the African American men to join the war, he also killed the wounded soldiers.
3). The tactics that the patriots used an Indian battle strategey called Guerilla warfare.. Guerilla Guerilaa warfare is like ambushing and being stealthy.

The Patriot Militia decided to use the swamps of South Carolina for their homebases because in most of all swamps there are many mosquitoes carrying a lot of type of diseases. The Patriot Militia used this tactic so much that they were immune to any sickness, specially Malaria. If the British tried to attack, it wouldn’t work out very well. Regulars are not used to mosquito bites so the result of dying by the disease would be incredibly higher than what the Patriots would have. Most likely the British would die within a week. Also, you can say that the swamps and mosquitoes were pretty much acting like a protective wall for the Patriot Militia. With this, the change of getting attacked decreases incredibly.
General Cornwalis was very frustrated with Colonel Tavington because he went over the line with the rules of war. The general figured that the British would win the war, which meant that they would have to live among the Americans that were left over. Treating the Americans right was something that they had to do. However, Colonel Tavington did not think the same way. To be specific, he broke the rule of: Quartering the Wounded. He killed many Patriots, not worrying about the consequences. Following the rules of war was necessary because just as you want your men to be helped, the British would want you to help their men. The General was starting to realize this. Again, if the British win, they would all depend on the Americans, so you might as well be a little friendly. The negative here is that even though both groups would help each other out, the wars would last way longer than they should. Since everyone is helping the wounded, they could get back into battle. Everyone would be treated humanely, though, which is what matters in the war.
There were many tactics that the Militia used to defeat the British. One of them was to be resourceful. They all used the environment to hide and have a better attack on them. Benjamin Martin and his two sons defeating the British in the woods is a perfect example of being resourceful. They all used the trees to hide and started shooting. The regulars had no idea from where they were getting attacked. Another of the tactic that the Militias use is that they kill the officers first. Why? Well, because the officers are the ones that have the plan and give orders, so when you kill them, the rest of the soldiers have no idea of what to do. This is very affective because as when they are all in that moment of shock, trying to think of what to do next, thats when they get killed. Breaking some of the rules of war was also another tactic. I mean, you have to break a rule anyways to start a war so they definately used this. The only rule that I remember that they didn’t break was the Quartering of the Wounded. Their men got helped to fight back just as they helped men get ready back into battle. I would say that this would be another tactic.

2.he was mad because he was killing the sick that needed help, thats like blowing up a hospital during a swine flu outbreak.and he didnt follow the rules of war which was YOU CANT FIRE,UNLESS FIRED UPON he broke that rule by fireing on the wounded and sick people.
3.the tactics that the militia used to defeate the regulars were gurilla warfare wich was being resourceful that means using things around you instead of taxing people for weopans and clothing like the british did

1.) The Patriots set up base camp in the swamp because of mosquitoes but because the mosquitos carry disease like malaria. The swamp areas is a good place for the British

3.) Some of militia stragity is to attack in smaller groups, and another is ambushing and blitz( so like hit hard and run away so kinda like that.) These are some of their stragity oh and the last main one guerrilla warfare.

The patriots were used to the swamp beacause of the malaria and they were called the “SwampFox” and the british never had malaria because it was so cold. Also there immune system is immuned to it.
He was frustrated beacause the laws says not to kill wounded soliders and he killed the Milita guy son . And General cornwails was ready to South Corlina attending to parties instead he should be at North Corlina parties.
The tatics that the milita used was ambush;blitz; retreat. Which is called Gurellia warfare and defeated them very good. The British had never knew so they decided ambush would absoutley defeat them

What were the tactics that the militia used to successfully defeat the British regulars?
-The Patriot Militia used the swamps of South Carolina for their hide out/ home base during the Revolution. Yes, this is because the Patriots were, some ancestors rather than themselves, immune to getting malaria. The British troop who came to fight originated from land of cold weather. Mosquitoes do not live in cold weather so the British troops were not immune.
-General Cornwalis is frustrated with Colonel Tavington about the tactics he is using because they are strictly against the Rules of War. He burnt down the house that was aiding British and “American” fighters.
-The militia used guerilla warfare tactics, this meant that they went completely against the rules of war. I am out of time but it tried to finish.

1. The Militia used the swamps of South Carolina for their homebases during the Revolution because it was sort of like building walls around your base. The fear of milaria to the Regulars stoped them from entering the swamp due to Mosquetios not being in England. While the Militia are immune to Milaria so they aren’t affected by it.
2. He was frustrated since that Colonel Tavington wasn’t following the rules of war because he was killing the wounded, buring homes of civilians and the General feared that if Tavington treated our people like crap and not help them, then they would do the same thing back.
3. They were taking down the officers to cause chaos, blitzing the enemy while they were reloading to take them down, hiding in their surrounding and moving after shooting so that the British wouldn’t be able to shoot them from seeing the smoke from the shots that were previously fired from that point of location.
Fun Fact!: Assasian’s Creed 3 is taking place in the story of the Revolution, exactally what we are talking about in school. Learning about history in a video game. Pretty cool huh?!

The Patriots used the swamp as their base because they were immune. Immune to sickness. Since they had been living there for a while the Patriots were immune to different viruses carried by mosquitoes. Most people were immune because they passed on the D.N.A. strand of their immunity to their kids and so on. They weren’t perfectly immune but their bodies could fight off most diseases. The Regulars however weren’t immune and didn’t want to get sick so they avoided swamps as much as possible. That gave the militia men a huge advantage for ambush and an easy way to kill off small groups of regulars.
General Cornwalis was angry with colonel Tavington because he was using tactics that went against the RoW (rules of war). He was killing off men who were wounded and under the care of our people. Cornwalis is especially mad because if we were helping them and Tavington was just ruining it, it would put a bad impression on the British. Which made us want to rebel and fight even more. Cornwalis also lost men that way and if he saved them then he would be able to use them or send them back home to take care of their families.
The militia used many different tactics.
Resourcefulness- was the biggest advantage that the militia men had. They weren’t just handed everything to them. They had to get things for themselves ans survive. They were independent and used the things around them to their advantage like the swamp.
Hunting-they were all mostly good shots and could kill of regulars from a distance. The creation of sniping.
Guerrilla warfare- use anything and everything to your advantage. Blitzing comes to mind. Attack hard on a small group and get them afraid. Then do it again and again and just take out pieces at a time.
RoW- they went completely against them. They would take out officers so there was no order. This made it easier to kill regulars. They didn’t fight in lines a lot making it harder to find and shoot them
Clothing- they wore their regular clothing instead of bright red and white in the forest. They would hide in bushes and trees and shoot from a distance or where you couldn’t see. They weren’t as easy to spot and could ambush without warning.

1.) The patriots hid in the swamps and made their base there is because the British feared getting the flu or some other sickness from mosquitoes. So the patriots were about 99.99999999999% safe because there would eventually be one brave soul to enter the swamp when they figure out where they are even at in the area.
2.) Cornwalis was angry at colonel Tavington because they broke the rules of war and were using the guerilla style for fighting and it was a rule broken because usually if the British follow the rules then the patriots would to although they did not it is almost like a trust issue.
3.) When the patriots were fighting of course they used guerilla fighting style but they ambushed them so their tactic was: ambush-blitz-retreat and repeat the following as many times as they could until they were ambushed back (spoiler if you have not seen that part of the movie).

1.) – The reason why the patroits used the swamp as a home base when they faught against the British was because the swamps carried disease. The patriots were immune to the diseases in the swamp but the British weren’t.they came from a colder temperature area so the didn’t experience the insects that carried the diseases in the swamp.
2.) – General Cornwalis was frustrated with Colonel Tavington because He was following the rules of war. And because he knew treat others a you would want to be treated. In that case he knew If the British won they would be living with the patriot left overs.
3.) – The main tactic the patriots use to defeat the British was blitz

1.) They used the Swamps as their homebases because over generations they had built up an immunity to malaria, a disease that would be deadly to the british soldiers who had little to no mosquitoes back home in England and therefore had never come in contact with the disease.
2. He was frustrated with colonel Tavington because he was breaking the rules of war by killing civilians and the wounded, therefore giving the patriots an excuse to do so as well.
3.) The main tactics the Patriots used were Ambush and Blitz and retreat.

The patriots used the swamp as their base because since they have been living in America long enough to build an immunity against malaria which is found in mosquetos. The Regulars came from Britain which has colder temperatures which makes it so mosquetos can’t survive there, making them vunerable to malaria. So really, the patriots had a wall around them because the regulars wouldn’t go near the swamp.
General Cornwallis was upset by Colonel Tavington because he did two thing. First, Tavington broke Cornwallis’ orders to house the enemy who are injured. He wanted Tavington to obey those orders because the patriots would do the same. Second, he fired his weapons without being fired upon, so he broke a rule of war.
One of the two main tatics the patriots used is called the blitz. Blitz came from the german word blitzkrieg, which means hard, fast, and strong (not sure about the last one). The nazis used this tatic to make the opposing army crumble in fear and surrender. That is how they were so powerful. The second tatic is called the ambush which is really just a sneak attack.

-The patriot militia used swamps as their home bases in S. Carolina because there were mosquitoes that lived in those swamps. This alone would not be a big deal but these mosquitoes carried many diseases such as malaria. Since the colonists had been living there for about 130 years they had built up immunity to these diseases. But the British regulars were coming from the colder climate of Britain which does not support life of the aforementioned parasitic insects. So the regulars were not immune to these diseases. So the regulars tried to attack and ended up getting sick.
-Gen. Cornwallis was frustrated with Colonel Tavington because Tavington was not following the rules of war. Specifically he was killing wounded enemy soldiers. The General was worried that this would make the militia mad and they would end up killing the wounded regulars.
-The militia ambushed the British regulars. They hid and lured the regulars into an open area where they would kill the soldiers. They would aim for the officers and would not wait for the British to attack first.

The story is that Aliens went looking for bodies. They found humans and decided to use our bodies because they are easy to repair. So they went Egypt and took 100′s of people. They brought them through the Star Gate. They turned them into slaves. Then they rebelled and rose up over the Aliens and the young boy. So they could become free.

Around the South Carolina area is a rather warm state appose to to others. Most Mosquitoes are drawn near the Southern United States. The Militia uses the South Carolina swamps for homebase because of the mosquitoes that carry different types of disease including malaria. They had been immune to these diseases because they had lived there for such a long time and had built an immunity from it.
General Cornwallis was angry at Colonel Tavington because he was breaking the rules of war and killing the wounded. Because he was doing this the militia would do the same back, just like the Golden Rule, which is so onto others as you would do onto you.
They would shoot on the officers, so they wouldn’t have a leader to tell them what to do. They would use guerilla warfare, Blitz, they would ambush…

Why did Patriot Militia use the swamps of of South Carolina for their homebases during the Revolution? Because they lived in warmer climates than their enemy so they over time got immuned to malaria but the others never could because they lived in cold climate, and mosquitoes dont live in cold climate so they would die if they got bit. so it kept others away, n the them safe.
Why was General Cornwalis so frustrated with Colonel Tavington about the tactics he was using? Be specific with your explanation (use an example(s)) he was breaking the rules of war. killing surrendered and wounded. and when one team does wrong the others of course want and do retliate.
What were the tactics that the militia used to successfully defeat the British regulars. they would shoot the officers, they would blits, ambush and killed surrendered.

Daniel aka the chicken dude told that the alien was slowly dying and he didnt want to die so he searched for living creatures and he found humans. After founding them he took a boy and our his soul or himslef into the boy so he could live longer. After doing that he took more humans and put then into his world and becames pharoh and/ or a god ( they worship him because they thought he could punish them and gave them life), they thought they were born on that pertecular planet or world and thought they ahd to be slaves .
Ra had baned reading or writing so they wouldn’t be able to figuar all that out. Ra chose humans because he thought they were easy to repair or get better. He assumed if he got hurt he could find a way to repair it.

-The British dragoons where a group of light infantry on horseback that had been a major type of soldier in the European wars in the past. they broke the rules of war by killing all patriot wounded, not fighting in lines and ambushing the patriots just like the militias tactics had done. they where usually a very ferocious enemy and definitely where soldiers to be feared.
-To enlist is to willingly join the military. it is different in the key aspect that it is entirely voluntary, whereas drafting is forcing people to join the cause. you can usually enlist at the age of 18, but back in the revolution they where able to join as early as 14. I believe that back then only men could enlist in the military.
-I believe that Benjamin Martin didn’t react instantly because he knew that Tavington would recognize him as the father and most likely shoot him. he knew to save the mourning for a more private time when he wouldn’t endanger his own life or his families’ lives. he also was probably filled with just as much hate for Tavington as he had sorrow for Thomas. He probably immediately started to think of ways to kill Tavington after that as-well.

The British Dragoons were a group of Red Coats that rode of horseback, and if I’m not correct, I believe Tavington is a Dragoon (?). They were breaking the rules of war by instead of quartering wounded Patriots, they’d just kill them right there on the spot. Also, since they were on horseback, they did not fight in lines.
Enlist means to enroll or to be enrolled in armed services, and in this case we’re talking about the American Rev.
I agree with Ian, honestly. If I were Benjamin Martin, I wouldn’t react because I’d want to go fight against the jerks that killed my son! And if Tavington shot him then he wouldn’t be able to do that. Tavington shot him for no reason, the son was not interfering with the war at all. Yes, he was going to save his brother but is that an “appropriate” time to shoot someone? I mean how hard would it have been to get a couple of his goons and pull the son away from him? Ok, rant done.
Mr. Perry, there’s this really awesome song that I’d like you to look up. You may not like it as much as me but the lyrics mean a lot to me. It’s “The Kids From Yesterday” by My Chemical Romance. I am lucky enough to see them live and they performed this song. Just thought I’d share it with you

1) The british dragoons were the british soldiers who rode to battle on horseback.
2) To be enlisted means you are or can be in the army or other armed services.
3) The reason Ben Martin didnt react immedeatly was probably because he was shocked from seeing his son being shot.Probably.

-the british dragoons where cavalry soldiers. The british dragoons would kill wounded prisoners and soldiers. This is breaking the rule of war about quartering wounded soldiers and prisoners of war.
-To enlist means to sign up for military service.
-Ben Martin didn’t react immediatly because he was in a state of shock. If something happens to a person that is very sudden and horrible, not to mention shocking, they tend to freeze and collect their wits. but also Ian is once again right about the fact that tavington might recognize martin as the father.

1).The Blue Dragoons are basically the Militia and they were on horseback. The things that they did to break the rules of war was that they were killing the officers so that the British would not know what to do and they would be easier to kill.
2).To enlist is to draft or to pull people in to the war by force. In the Revolutionary War you had to go into to war and you couldn’t refuse or you would have been killed.
3).The reason that Benjamin Martin didn’t react instantly when Colonel Tavington shot and killed his son was because he didn’t want put the wounded soldiers, his sister-in-law, and his children. bejamin didn’t have enough time to save his son but at least his son didn’t die in van.

1.) the british dragoons where cavalry soldiers that would kill wounded prisoners and soldiers so they’re basically breaking the rule of war, about quartering wounded soldiers and prisoners of war.
2.) To enlist means to sign up for military service, “I think it was 12+ with a parents permission.”
3.) Ben Martin didn’t react immediatly because he was in a shock, but he was also in a shock it was because they killed his son. So while he was in a shock he was thinking of attacking him later on.

The British Dragoons were the soldiers on horseback or the British Calvary. Their leader Colonel Tavington broke the Rules of War by ordering the regulars to shoot all of the wounded American soldiers on site instead of quartering them or letting Benjamin Martin quarter them. He’s not a nice person.
To enlist means to sign up for the army. Back then you could enlist at the age of 12 years old (Imagine being 12 and in the army.) with, however, your parents’ permission. Now it’s 18 years old for enlistment.
Benjamin Martin did not react immediatley because he had to live to fight another day. If he had tryed to harm Tavington or anyone else he would have been killed. Which is why he went back for his other son later.

The british dragoon were the soliders on the horses in the british army. Colonel Tavington broke the rules of war by making the regulars to shoot the injured.
To enlist is to sign up for something. In this time its reffering to sign up for war.
Benjamin Martin at first his son was shot and he went to war and fought for him. When he saw he died in the fires he immediatly killed himself.

british dragoons were enemy officers on horses they
broke the rules of war rules by shooting when they werent even getting fire on.To enlist means that you are signing in to the army or millitary at your own free will wich means you no one is forcing you to do it. im pretty sure he said a few words before benjamin martin shot his self with his own gun because he had seen his son and wife laying ther on the ground dead.

- They bow to the men from Earth because of the necklace Jackson was wearing. He was wearing a Ra necklace. Which the Egyptians were trained to bow down to Ra by the Aliens. When they first met the dudes from Earth they didn’t know if he was ” Ra ” or not…
- The aliens went through the Star Gate they found humans. They decided on them because there bodies are easy to repair. So now they take people (Egyptians) through the Star Gate. Now the aliens trained the humans to mine a mineral from the ground to activate the Star Gate. So now the humans are considered slaves.
- I predict that the movie would go two ways..
1. They will find out how to activate the Star Gate. Then they will take everyone back and the humans can get back to their normal lives.
2. The dudes and the other people will stay on the alien planet. They will start a new life with the Egyptians.

British Dragoons were cavalry soldiers that went around disobeying the rules of war, and punishing whomever they found obeying them. Ex: killing injured soldiers, which you’re supposed to heal, no matter which side they’re on.
To enlist means to sign up for the military. The age limit back during the revolution was 12+ with guardian approval.
Benjamin Martin doesn’t react to Colonel Tavington’s actions because he is a Guerrilla Warfare specialist. When you’re in a militia, that’s the fighting tactics you must use, and it basically means to survive by any means necessary. “Live to fight another day”, and if Benjamin had reacted out of his burning emotions, he would have been killed on the spot, leaving his family to perish. That wouldn’t be a very good strategy for survival, now would it?

1) The egyptains bowed to the daniel because they thought he was a god because his neclace with the eye on it like ra. They thought if they didn’t than the god would punish them and they would hurt there city town thingy, ra had made them think that they needed him and needed to worship him &
obay him because he had the power over them . thats why he made all the laws so they wouldn’t figuar out that they weren’t meant to be slaves.
2) Ra was using the egyptains from earth for a few reasons like… He used the adults to work for him and do labor for his planet or world. he used the kids to do the same but he also used them to protect because the adults would be unlikely to harm or hurt a child. Ra had them all thinking the were born on that panet and not on earth he banned reading and writing so they wouldn’t find out about all his secrets and over rule him as a ruler/ pharoh/ or god.
3) I thought that the guy would blow up the world with all the people in it and not dave them after he had gotten captured and got back to the bomb. I also thought that daniel and the girl would be saved and would move to earth and get married and have kids and that the big guy that lost his son would take the lil guy that smoked with him and would raised him as a son to fill that emptyness he had gotten after his son died that he hadden been able to fix.

The British dragoon are cavalry soldiers who ride in horses but the british dragoons are dis obeying orders from general cornwalis because general cornwalis wants them to quartering the injured soldiers so after the war they will lived with them if they won and they would treat each other fairly but colonel tavington are killing injured soldiers and he doesnt care about the people he cares about the war ( victory or losing )
Enlist means to sign up for the military ( but when u want to join the military ( in the age of 12 ) you have to have permission from your guardian. benjamin martin doesnt react to colonel tavingtons action because he is a guerilla warfare men ( means that “live to fight another day ) ( tactics ) and if he did react to colonel tavington actions he could have been killed.

1. Because they think they are the gods that came to help them or something. They thought that Jackson was Ra because he had the neck-less that had the eye of Ra on the neck-less that the old lady gave him in the car.
2.The aliens were using them to get the Mineral/Rock that was made to make the Stargate.
3.I predict that Jackson and the army people will kill all the aliens and the army people will go home when JAckson will stay back with the slaves and marries the wife they gave him.

The British Dragoons were a group of British Calvary that would kill any wounded soldiers. Whether they were under care or lying on the battle field they were killed. It was against the Rules of War and that was why Cronwalis was angry with Tavington. Tavington’s group of Calvary was doing those things. This also meant that they couldnt send those men home or back into the war.
To Enlist is to sign up for the war on your own behalf. You sign up, you are not forced to do it.
If he reacted right away in front of Tavington it would have put the impression that he was soft and couldn’t take a hit. I know that sounds harsh but it would have played a big part on the war. It showed Tavington that he was a strong man and could fight for what he wanted. HE had a reason to fight and every time Tavington did something it just added and built up that fight in the militia men because Martin could use that and output it on his men and got them to fight harder for freedom.

Who are the British Dragoons and what were they doing during the Revolution to break the rules of war?
What does it mean to enlist?
Why doesn’t Benjamin Martin react instantly when his son is is killed by Colonel Tavington? (Think about what a frontiersman would do)
——————————————————————————————————————–
-The British Dragoons were the cavalry. They were breaking the rules of war because they were burning the houses of those who were helping the wounded. Once they also burned a building full of innocent people.
-When you enlist you are signing up for the war. Back at the time of this particular war the youngest enlisting age was 12 with your parents permission. Also you are not forced to enlist it is your choice.
-Benjamin Martin was a Guerrilla warfare expert. If he had reacted immediately he would have been killed along with his other son who was sentenced for hanging. So he decided to wait and then he took his other son and they went after the carriage which held his eldest son (the one sentenced for hanging).

1.) The british dragoons ambushed to break the rules of war like the patriots did and killed without order.
2.) to enlist is to sign up for the militia and to doit on paper.
3.) he did not react because as they say live to fight another day and he waited for the right moment and it was dramatic.
